Vintage Retro Danish Teak and Oak Desk by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik, 1960s
A superb Danish Modern desk from the mid-1960s, designed by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik. This beautiful teak and oak piece is exceptionally well crafted, showcasing outstanding attention to detail throughout. It features clean, minimalistic lines with a subtle curve to the oak frame.
The desk offers excellent storage and practicality. At the front, there are three drawers on the left and two on the right, along with pull-out shelves at the top on both sides. At the rear, the desk includes an integrated three-part bookcase, with the central section featuring a tambour door—ideal for display or entertaining. The drawers are fitted with elegant, sculpted handles that complement the desk’s striking organic form.
The condition is very good, with only minor age-related marks consistent with careful use. There is a slight colour variation on the top surface where a leather blotter was previously placed.
An absolutely stunning and highly functional example of classic Danish mid-century design.
