A superb vintage Swedish mid-century easy chair, Model “Löven”, designed by the renowned Arne Norell and produced by Arne Norell AB in Aneby, Sweden during the 1960s.
Beautifully crafted with a solid wooden frame and upholstered in its original rich buffalo leather, this exceptional chair is a wonderful example of Scandinavian design. Combining timeless elegance with outstanding comfort, it is a piece that looks impressive from every angle and would make a striking addition to any home.
The chair features generously proportioned, loose buttoned cushions to both the seat and backrest, filled with a luxurious combination of feather and foam for exceptional comfort and support. Every element reflects the high level of craftsmanship for which Arne Norell is celebrated. The beautifully sculpted solid wood frame and sturdy square legs provide both strength and a refined architectural aesthetic.
The leather has developed a beautiful natural patina over the years, enhancing its character and authenticity. It has recently been professionally cleaned and conditioned, leaving it supple, soft, and ready to enjoy for many years to come.
The chair remains in excellent vintage condition, with only minor signs of age and use consistent with its history.
